Groups exist because we are

BETTER TOGETHER

We believe God created us to live in community with others. Groups make life-changing relationships relevant and accessible to you.

Group Details

Groups meet throughout the year in three trimesters.

Group members are responsible for all books/study guides needed (unless otherwise indicated).

We, of Alcoholics Anonymous, are more than 100 men and women who have recovered from a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body. The main purpose of this group is to show other alcoholics precisely how we have recovered. Join us to learn how this 12-step study can transform your life.
According to the Gospel of Luke, perfection is not a prerequisite for a deep and personal relationship with Jesus. Join us for this Lisa Harper video-based study that reveals how Jesus embraces the outliers, outcasts and overlooked.
Join us for this interactive group designed to help you discover more about yourself. We’ll be doing a gift inventory and personality assessment with time to explore what this means for your life and relationships.

Men and boys, join us on the second Saturday of the month (June–August) for a fun morning of golf at various local courses. All experience levels welcome. Join us when you’re able. Sign up for reminders and course location.
This group is a weekly gathering of men with the desire to have fun, connect, encourage and pray for each other. Study materials vary. Come as you’re able.
In this video-based study from Charis Bible College (including Andrew Wommack), you will gain a deeper understanding of what the Word of God says about healing, learn how to pray effective and powerful prayers and be equipped to put this knowledge into practice.
Do you enjoy serving others in our church and community? If so, this group is for you! The team encourages family involvement, so bring the kids. Sign up if you’d like a call from Carol and Lori with more information about getting involved.
Join us Saturday mornings, as our only agenda is to encourage one another to be the men that God has called us to be and we’ll enjoy some coffee too!
Come for unstructured fellowship and spontaneous fun as we visit local parks (lunch is provided). No need to commit to all dates, come when you’re able. This group is hosted by a family with littles, so bring your whole family (children not required…all are welcome).
Whether you have a garden or buy your produce, you can plan and prepare for access to local food in the fall and winter. Come together to share what you know, as we learn from each other about the various forms of preserving food.
Join us for some fun and friendly competition on the golf course. We’ll be playing a two person scramble with a shot-gun start. Stick around to congratulate our winning group and enjoy some lunch. Open to men and boys of any skill level.
Enjoy some friendly competition and great fellowship on Joy’s volleyball sand court. In case of bad weather, we have some fun indoor activity alternatives.

A message from the Pastor:

Everyone is used to rows―we line up in rows: dismiss by rows, drive our cars to church and park in rows, we enter the building and sit in rows to hear the message.

Circles provide something different. A circle turns us towards each other in a way that rows can’t. Pastor Andy Stanley said, “There are things that can happen face-to-face that will never happen shoulder-to-shoulder.”

It’s wonderful to come together as the family of God on a Sunday, but we need more than one-way communication.

I believe that when it comes to church we need both rows and circles.

In reality the strength of Joy isn’t our rows, it’s our circles.

The Christian life and Joy Christian Center is best experienced together not alone. There will be times in your life that you need the power of love and support that is best experienced in circles. At Joy you will find that in Groups and finding your place on the Dream Team are the circles where iron sharpens iron.
