PRAYING FOR THE ECONOMY

Psalm 46:1 (NKJV) God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

1 Kings 20:23 (NIV) 23 Meanwhile, the officials of the king of Aram advised him, “Their gods are gods of the hills. That is why they were too strong for us. But if we fight them on the plains, surely we will be stronger than they.

1 Kings 20:28 (NIV) 28 The man of God came up and told the king of Israel, “This is what the Lord says: ‘Because the Arameans think the Lord is a god of the hills and not a god of the valleys, (the Syrians said plains, God takes is step farther and says valleys) I will deliver this vast army into your hands, and you will know that I am the Lord.’”

Psalm 23:4 (NIV) Even though I walk through the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Big Idea: Often in difficult times we’re tempted to feel like perhaps God is nowhere to be found. As we continue this week of prayer I want to remind you that God is a God who is always there ready to help us in our times of trouble.
